Billy Bolt has once again shown off his incredible Super Enduro skills by racing fellow British rider Jack Price up the stands of the Newcastle United stadium.

Motorcycles and football don’t usually go hand-in-hand, but that’s what happened earlier this week when Newcastle United’s St. James' Park was the scene of an epic enduro race-off between two local riders.

One of those riders was none other than five-time Super Enduro champion Billy Bolt, who raced against fellow Brit Jack Price ahead of this weekend’s second running of the Red Bull Tyne Ride.

Bolt is one of the major headline names that’s set to compete during the event this weekend, which, together with Red Bull, has been organised by the Geordie rider himself.

Starting at one end of the stadium, both riders headed in opposite directions as they raced towards the other end, before making a very sharp turn as they began riding up the stands.

Bolt got there slightly ahead of Price who initially overshot the turn, but he quickly regrouped and was hot on the heels of Bolt. From then on the race remained extremely tight, but to avoid giving away any spoilers, you can watch the full video below to find out who came away victorious.

As well as the race-to-the-flag, Bolt faced off with Price in a series of other challenges, which included speeding pitch side in timed trials and a wheelie race.

Speaking after the race up the stands, Bolt, who is an avid Newcastle United fan, said: “That was epic - and pretty gnarly! The stadium’s super high up, so if you come off at speed around a corner you’re gonna roll down the stands a good few metres with chairs in your face.

“No matter where in the world I’m racing, I’m always watching the Newcastle lads when they play, so it was great to unite my two passions – thanks to the team for letting us rip it up. And like any good fan, we kept off the grass – so they can get back to the footy!”
