BMW reveals all-new F450 RR supersport starting from £6,730
BMW reveals its all-new F450 RR supersport machine with four variants, all of which offer something a little bit different.

Following the arrival of the naked F450 R in September, it was only a matter of time before Beemer expanded its new 450 range to include a fully-faired sibling.
And that’s exactly what we have here with the A2 F450 RR, which is available in four different variants, including the Base model.
Priced at £6,730, the standard model makes use of the same 420cc parallel-twin that’s housed by the £6,395 F450 R, and the F450 GS, which was the first model to arrive as part of BMW’s new 450 platform.
That means riders are also getting the same 48hp (around 47bhp) at 8,750rpm and 31Ib-ft of torque at 6,750rpm as its naked and adventure siblings. This being said, the F450 RR is tuned for supersport use, meaning it features slightly different chassis geometry and ergonomics.

The A2-compliant machine is also available in Sport (£6,875), M Sport (£6,995), and M Sport with Innovation Package (£7,250) variants.
The Sport variant adds Shift Assistant Pro and the Sport suspension, while the M Sport includes both of those features, alongside Riding Modes Pro and the Snaefell white/M Motorsport colour scheme. Meanwhile, the Innovation Package adds Beemer’s Easy Ride Clutch system.
Standard features aboard the new F450 RR include a two-piece seat with a height of 790mm, heated grips, LED lighting, a 6.5-inch TFT display, connectivity, and a USB-C port.
Beemer also says the supersport machine features a fuel consumption of 3.8 liters per 100km (62 miles), while the 14-litre fuel tank provides a calculated range of more than 217 miles.
Accessories such as a tank bag and soft cases can be added for riders that want to turn the F450 RR into more of a commuter.

Suspension is handled by a 43mm KYB upside-down fork and a KYB rear shock, while the rear wheel is carried by an aluminium swingarm. With the Sport suspension up front, rebound and compression damping are adjustable.
Stopping power comes via a 310mm front disc with a Brembo four-piston monobloc calliper at the front. A 240mm rear disc is mated to a floating ByBre single-piston caliper.
The new BMW F450 RR also makes use of a welded tubular steel space frame featuring integrated forged components, while the parallel-twin engine is incorporated as a load-bearing element. Additionally, the bike rides on 17-inch wheels and has a ready-to-ride weight of 177kg.
Markus Flasch, CEO BMW Motorrad, said this about the new F450 RR:
“What I particularly like about the new BMW F 450 RR is how light, direct, and precise it is to ride. To me, that’s exactly what a supersport motorcycle should be. It’s great fun on twisty roads and performs just as well on the racetrack. At the same time, it clearly carries the DNA of our RR models. For me, it’s the perfect entry into the world of BMW RR motorcycles.”
