Continuing what’s been a big year for the company regarding custom builds, Indian Motorcycle has unveiled its latest project with a striking Chieftain PowerPlus, built specifically for adrenaline junkie and pro skateboarder, Ryan Sheckler.

The build is part of the returning Forged series, where three industry legends turn a current model upside-down and, in this case, rebuild the all-new Chieftain PowerPlus for a special rider of their choice.

Behind this Forged series build are Jeremy “Twitch” Stenberg, who is an American freestyle motocross rider, Forever Rad, and Kraus Motor Co., with all three putting their stamp on the Chieftain PowerPlus that’s heading the way of Sheckler.

The new Chieftain, which landed in early 2025, was launched with the PowerPlus 112 engine that was developed by the race heads at Indian Motorcycle. It is the same power unit that took the American manufacturer to victory in the 2024 King of the Baggers championship. The new V-Twin 1,834cc engine produces an impressive 126bhp and 133.8Ib ft of torque.

The blacked-out performance bagger features billet aluminium and carbon fibre accents throughout, while a 21-inch wheel is found up front, with an 18-inch at the rear wheel.

“I’ve always wanted to build a bike,” said Twitch. “And now, thanks to Indian Motorcycle, I’ve finally got the chance – and, even better, I get to give it to a great friend. I just wanted to make something dope that fits my style, but also something Ryan would be stoked on. I think we nailed it.”

“The most challenging part of the build for me was the whole damn thing. I’ve never done this before, so I was learning as I went.”

The build process goes into further detail in a video on the official Indian Motorcycle YouTube channel.
