Harley-Davidson 2021 Electra Glide Revival

HARLEY-DAVIDSON has announced details of the Electra Glide Revival, and with it kickstarting the debut of the Icons Collection. This annual programme will offer limited-edition versions of revisited classics, or alternatively explore ideas that they say will represent the future of motorcycle style.

With one or two models selected per year, the Electra Glide Revival is the first to enter a limited ‘Icons Collection’ single production run of 1500 units, serialising and certificating each model which will never enter a production run again.

Jochen Zeitz, Harley-Davidson president & CEO:

“I am proud to introduce our new limited production Icons Collection, a series of extraordinary adaptations of production motorcycles which look to our storied past and bright future.”

Inspired by the first Harley-Davidson available with the iconic ‘batwing’ fairing accessory, the 1969 Electra Glide, this revived edition will receive a period-accurate 1969 two-tone paint scheme in Hi-Fi Blue and Black Denim, Birch White painted fairing and saddlebags, and wide white sidewall tyres with chrome steel laced wheels.

Power will be supplied by the Milwaukee-Eight 114 motor, a 1868cc V-Twin with 118 ft-lb (160 Nm) of torque at 3250 rpm, the latest power unit from the Bar and Shield firm.

Despite the classic style cues, it’ll all be fitted to the latest single-spar Harley-Davidson touring frame with rigid backbone design, all the latest rider safety enhancements (including cornering ABS, cornering traction control, drag-torque slip control system and hill hold control).

Scheduled to land in dealers by late April, the retail price is set at £27,995 - find out more on the Harley-Davidson site

“We live in a very dynamic time, each of us experiencing constant change,” said Brad Richards, vice president of styling and design at Harley-Davidson. “The Electra Glide Revival model is an oasis in this daily turbulence, a way to reconnect with the fundamental Harley-Davidson DNA that created Grand American Touring.”
