Does Bluroc's Tracker 125 bike show there's still life for low-power gas bikes?
Bluroc is updating its range for 2022 with the new Tracker 125, a bike whose name gives away its inspiration, and which features a new engine.

Not that that is a bad thing, necessarily, but while electrics are playing an increasing role in the markets for smaller, lower-powered bikes, there is an almost guilty pleasure in seeing a new gas 125 release, and that is what we have for 2022 from Bluroc.
The Bluroc Tracker 125 is a bike which leaves little to guess at when it comes to the derivation of its name. Inspired by the world of flat track, this is a stylish neo-retro from Belgium.
A 125 is not a new addition for Bluroc. Their roster until now had featured five eighth-of-a-litre bikes, in addition to a few 250s. However, the engine is new for the Tracker.
Compared to Bluroc’s previous 125s, the one featured in the Tracker is liquid-, rather than air-cooled, and, as reported by Le Repaire des Motards, it features double camshafts with four valves.
Furthermore, the power is increased compared to before, with 15 horsepower. In comparison, the engine featured in the Spirit 125 cafe racer has 11.6 horsepower.
Undoubtedly, the motor is a step forward for the Tracker.
Away from the engine - which also features EFI and electric start - the steel, tubular chassis of the Tracker 125 is suspended at the front by inverted telescopic forks, and at the rear by a single shock absorber. Additionally, on the end of the swing arm and between the front forks lie 17-inch wheels (front and back), with a 110/70 tyre at the front, and a 150/60 at the rear.
Dry, the Tracker 125 will weigh 110kg, but a 12-litre tank will allow for some addition to that, as well as a decent range.
Bluroc have made the Tracker available in two colours: “Matte Black-Gold” and “Flame Orange-Steel Grey,” and it will retail for £3,899.
