MV Agusta has pulled the covers off the new Brutale 1000 ABT, a limited-edition hyper naked created in collaboration with German tuning giant ABT Sportsline. Just 130 individually numbered bikes will be produced worldwide, marking ABT’s 130th anniversary, and the result is one of the maddest-looking Brutales yet.

At its core sits MV’s familiar 998cc inline-four, now updated to meet Euro5+ regulations. In standard trim the bike produces 201 bhp at 13,500 rpm and 85.5 lb ft (116 Nm) at 11,000 rpm, although owners also get a dedicated racing kit with an Arrow titanium four-exit exhaust and ECU map that bumps power up to 208 bhp at 14,000 rpm. As you’d expect, the race kit is strictly for track use only.

MV says the engine has also received revised camshafts, updated mapping, improved throttle response, tweaked gearbox ratios and a shorter final drive ratio aimed at sharpening acceleration and low-speed punch.

Visually, the Brutale 1000 ABT leans heavily into both brands’ identities. The paint scheme combines Nero Carbonio Metallizzato with Rosso Fuoco red highlights, while one side of the bike carries ABT’s “From the Racetrack to the Road” slogan alongside a German flag. The other features MV’s long-running “Motorcycle Art” tagline with the Italian tricolore.

There’s plenty of carbon fibre too. Nineteen separate components are finished in plain-weave carbon, including the airbox cover, tank panels, front spoiler, heat shields and a distinctive rear wheel cover inspired by turbofan-style racing car wheels. According to MV, the cover isn’t just there for show either, as it helps reduce turbulence around the rear wheel and improve aerodynamic efficiency.

Underneath the bodywork sits a full suite of electronically controlled Öhlins suspension, including Öhlins NIX EC forks, an Öhlins TTX rear shock and an adjustable steering damper. Forged wheels help reduce unsprung mass, while braking comes courtesy of Brembo with its Stylema calipers paired with 320mm Braking Batfly discs.

The bike also gets an Alcantara seat with honeycomb stitching, another nod to high-end automotive design, while every machine ships with a dedicated welcome kit, bike cover, certificate of authenticity and a collection of race parts.

Production is due to begin in the final quarter of 2026, with Italian pricing confirmed at €40,990 before local taxes and registration costs are added on.
