MV Agusta makes debut at Wheels and Waves 2026 in Biarritz

Custom bikes may dominate Wheels and Waves, but MV Agusta is turning up with something different, its history.

MV Agusta is making its first official appearance at Wheels and Waves this year, though the Italian brand is arriving in Biarritz with a rolling museum and showroom, but no actual custom bikes.

And while that might seem an unusual fit for the event, which built its reputation on hand-built specials and custom builds, the Schiranna firm will use the festival to highlight both its latest production machinery and some of the historic motorcycles.

Taking centre stage will be the firm's 2026 model range, including the recently launched Brutale Serie Oro and Superveloce 1000 AGO. Visitors to the event will also be able to get behind the bars of selected models through a programme of demo rides running throughout the event.

Alongside the modern machinery, MV Agusta is bringing a slice of its past to the French coast. Among the historic bikes on display will be a rare 1958 MV Agusta CSS 175/204cc, a machine that represents an era when the brand was establishing itself as one of Italy's most respected motorcycle manufacturers.

Alongside the current and classic metal, there will still be some action away from the display stand. The firm has confirmed that its Superveloce 1000 Serie Oro will compete in the famous Punk's Peak race, the flat-out sprint held on the roads overlooking the Atlantic. Meanwhile, a 1968 MV Agusta 125 Regolarità will tackle the event's Vintage Rally, celebrating the brand's lesser-known off-road competition history.
