2024 Beta Xtrainer offers minor updates over 2023's platform overhaul

The 2024 Beta Xtrainer has launched with a new seat and graphics kit compared to 2023, which itself was overhauled compared to previous editions.

The 2024 Beta Xtrainer has received an update for the new model year with a revised graphics kit and a new seat both coming to the bike which was overhauled in 2023.

That overhaul of the bike for the 2023 model year saw a new rear subframe, intake system, battery, fuel tank (8.8 litres), and new plastics, onto which the new graphics kit is applied for 2024.

The graphics kit itself is intended to be more reminiscent of Beta’s larger enduro machines aimed at more experienced riders. There is also a new seat for 2024, with a revised geometry, and changes to the foam density in order to increase support and comfort.

The ultimate aim of the Beta Xtrainer is to be an accessible option in Beta’s two-stroke off-road motorcycle range. Its seat height, for example, is 20mm lower than the more focused Beta RR enduro machines, while the engine is toned down - in both the 250cc and 300cc forms - for a less aggressive and more approachable ride. Further, the Xtrainer comes with a cooling fan as standard.

The Xtrainer is also lightweight at 99kg, and does not compromise on personalisation, with suspension customisable in preload, compression and rebound at both ends. Similarly, the exhaust valve can be externally adjusted by the rider to tune engine characteristics depending on terrain and conditions, and the bike also comes with an automatic fuel mixer, which “does away with the need for the oil-fuel pre-mix,” a Beta press release reads.

The Beta Xtrainer also comes with anti-theft functionality thanks to an electronic key which functions also as a kind of ‘kill switch’, whereby each individual Xtrainer has its own electronic code to which only its specific electronic key can match. The rider wears a magnetised wrist strap, and when the wrist strap loses connection to the magnetic contact point on the bike’s handlebar, the engine is effectively immobilised until contact between the bar and strap is re-established. This also, of course, shuts the engine down in the event of a crash.

The 2024 Beta Xtrainer is available from June 2023. Visit the Beta website to find out more, and to locate your nearest dealer.
