Michael Dunlop has confirmed the news many expected, which is that he will pair his Ducati duties with racing a BMW at this year’s Isle of Man TT.

Dunlop will race a Panigale V2 in the Supersport class and in doing so will be supported by the Feel Racing World Supersport team, while in the Superstock and Superbike categories he will race a BMW M1000 RR.

Dunlop recently raced an M1000 RR alongside the Panigale V2 at the Cookstown 100 event, claiming a double win in the process although his bike plans for the TT were still to be confirmed at that time.

Speaking on the TT’s live podcast last week, Dunlop admitted plans could still change but that has not materialised and he’s instead confirmed he will be racing a BMW once again in the big-bike races. Beyond his commitments to race a BMW and Ducati, Dunlop will also be aboard a Paton motorcycle for the Supertwin races.

In the Superstock class Dunlop will race under his own MD Racing banner, but it appears as though his Superbike effort is being aided by the help of Hawk Racing.

Dunlop said: “I’m delighted to be involved with Milwaukee again, it’s been a long time but something I am very excited about and looking forward to a strong season on board the Milwaukee Ducati V2. They have given me a great opportunity to have a strong season and it’s a new challenge I’m eagerly awaiting.

“To be involved with the Feel Racing team is a fantastic opportunity to have their backing, knowledge and support for the season ahead. They have two world championships under their belt and provide a world of information to ensure we progress and get the results we deserve.”

This year’s Isle of Man TT gets underway on 26 May and ends with the Senior TT on Sunday, 7 June.
