Two Racers Taken to Hospital After North West 200 Accident
Two riders were taken to hospital following a Supersport crash at the North West 200

Gary McCoy will take no further part in the North West 200 after a collision in qualifying for the Supersport races led to him being taken to hospital.
The two riders involved in the collision were not named at the time of the accident, however, we now know that McCoy was one of them while the BBC claims Craig Neve was the other rider involved.
Neve sustained serious injuries, but they are not believed to be life-threatening, as he too was taken to hospital.
A statement from the race organisers said: "Two riders were involved in an incident at Mill Road roundabout on the NW200 course six minutes into the Supersport qualifying session.
“Both riders were injured in the incident and the on-course medical team attended the scene. The riders were subsequently transferred to hospital, one by road ambulance and the other by air ambulance.”
As a result of his injuries McCoy will take no further part in this week’s races as well as the 2025 Isle of Man TT, which would have marked his debut at the famous road race.
McCoy was reportedly hit from behind at Mill Road, but he’s since released an update on social media regarding his recovery, saying: “Just thought I'd give a quick update to everyone as I have had a lot of kind messages and well wishers.
“Yesterday afternoon I was involved in a crash which was totally out of my control when a rider behind me lost control of his machine and rear ended me on the approach to Mill Road Roundabout.
“Unfortunately this will rule me out of any further racing at the NW200 this year and my debut as a newcomer to the Isle of Man TT. Thanks to everyone for the help and support and I hope the other rider has a speedy recovery also.”
