Mash brings luxury midsize tourer to UK

It caught our eye back in the summer, Now Mash is set to bring its seemingly anachronistic midsize tourer to the UK.

It’s here! The heavy midsize tourer I was swooning over back in August is finally set to arrive in the UK.

Mash Motorcycles has announced that its “flagship” GT750 is set to arrive in its network of roughly three dozen UK dealerships imminently.

Looking like an AI mash-up of most of the big touring bikes of the 2000s (eg, Honda PanEuropean, Yamaha FJR1300, Kawasaki GTR1400), the GT750 is driven by a 730cc parallel-twin engine promising peak outputs of 74.8 bhp at 8500 rpm and 51 lb-ft at 6800 rpm.

It weighs – checks stats – 275 kg. That is 16kg more than a Kawasaki Versys 1100 SE. And its price tag isn’t too far off that of the Kawasaki, either: £10,999 (the Kawasaki starts at £11,899).

But, you get a lot for your money. Firstly, contributing to that weight is a colossal 24-litre fuel tank, which Mash says will carry you at least 320 miles before needing to fill up.

Bosch ABS, Brembo brakes, and Michelin tyres contribute to a feeling of quality.

An electrically adjustable windscreen promises to keep the weather off and a ginormous 12.3-inch TFT screen offers a wealth of information, with smartphone connectivity, navigation (via an app), front and rear cameras, tyre pressure monitoring and more. Also standard are heated grips and seat, keyless start, and an electrically operated fuel cap.

“Mash has long been recognized as a pioneer in the neo-retro segment,” states a media release – seemingly acknowledging that huge touring machines aren’t really a ‘now’ thing.

“Through its collaboration with Asian manufacturer Jedi Motor, the brand once again raises the bar in terms of finish, performance, and reliability,” it continues. “With engineering that is specially tailored to European riders.”

Side note: Jedi Motor is an awesome name.

The GT750 is available in Black or Gold and is available for A2 licences because, you know, it's def giving main character vibes for Gen Z.
