Heavily modified Yoshimura GSX-R750 is going under the hammer for a big price
Suzuki and Yoshimura go together like two peas in a pod, and this restored GSX-R750 masterpiece is a result of that partnership.

Suzuki and Yoshimura’s partnership has spanned many decades, so it's no surprise that the latter has heavily modified this GSX-R750, which is going up for auction with an eye-catching price.
The GSX-R750 is best known for its racing success in the All-Japan Road Race Championship TT-F1, winning the series three years on the bounce (1985-87). It also won the 1989 AMA Superbike Championship.
This restored “604 Complete Machine” channels that racing pedigree and is based on the bike ridden by Satoshi Tsujimoto at Daytona in 1986.
The modified Yoshimura GSX-R750 features an extensive list of items used by the Japanese company’s Heritage Parts programme. A custom Cyclone exhaust system has been fitted, as has adjustable suspension, and upgraded brakes.

The engine head has been ported, meaning the intake and exhaust ports have been smoothed out, and the carburetors have been replaced with Yoshimura’s Mikuni TMR MJN32 system.
This particular example has 18,222km (around 11,320 miles) on the clock, but that’s not stopped Yoshimura from starting the bidding process at a very large figure. The opening bid is set at 6,644.000 Japanese Yen, which is roughly £33,400.
Yoshimura says the bike can be ridden for ‘a long time’, and that it has been built by official Yoshimura mechanics. While inspired by the success it enjoyed on track, this GSX-R750 wraps all that racing history and puts it onto a motorcycle that is road-legal.
The bike will be available to bid on starting from September 20, before the auction ends on October 18. You can see the bike in all its glory by visiting the Yoshimura auction page.
