Honda V3R 900 E-Compressor unmasked in homologation images
Type approval images have revealed what the V3R 900 E-Compressor will really look like once it hits the streets.

The official launch of the V3R 900 E-Compressor is edging ever closer, and with that we get the inevitable trickle of leaks and homologation filings, each giving us a slightly clearer idea of what the bike will become.
These latest images, unearthed by Motorcycle.com’s super sleuth, Dennis Chung, show what the wild e-turbo bike will look like once it hits the streets.

And the really good news is, not a lot has changed, which, when we look at historical concepts from Honda, isn’t always the case. Remember the wild CB750 Hornet concepts shown at EICMA in 2021 – and then the heavily watered-down version we got a year later? Well, it seems like Honda heard the collective sighs of disappointment, and doesn’t want a repeat with its headline-grabbing V3.

First up, the single-sided swingarm is still very much present and correct, as is the ginormous air intake that feeds the electronically driven compressor. Other features we are happy to see are the aggressive front-end styling, which is dominated by the narrow ‘Y’-shaped headlight, and the gorgeous trellis frame, which was the star of the show when the original concept was shown at EICMA the year before the complete bike appeared.

One interesting feature is the bodywork, which, now unmasked from the camo stickers that have covered it until now, we can see the sections of what will most likely become plastic and aluminium bodypanels.

Another interesting feature from the concept bike that seems to carry over to the production bike is the brake discs. Unlike conventional brake discs that have simple circular holes drilled in them, the front and rear discs of the V3R feature quite an intricate pattern. The large sections of cut-away disc give them quite a minimalist, although custom look to them.

What we don’t have at the moment is a definite date that the production bike hitting the road officially. That said, with these images only being filed in March 2026 – and made public this month – the chances of the official production model landing at EICMA this November are extremely high.
