Harley unveils prototype race bike for new Bagger World Cup
Harley-Davidson has revealed the first entries for its new Bagger World Cup series, as well as a new logo and a prototype race bike at EICMA.

Harley-Davidson has revealed fresh details on its all-new Bagger World Cup series, which will be part of the MotoGP schedule at certain events in 2026.
We already know that the championship will take place at six venues, including the Circuit of the Americas in Texas, where the new series will debut.
From there the new Bagger World Cup will head to iconic tracks like Mugello, Assen, Silverstone, MotorLand Aragon and the Red Bull Ring in Austria, which is set to host the season-finale.

Those details were revealed in August, however, Harley has now confirmed the first teams selected for the championship. Saddlemen Racing is the official American team, while the Joe Rascal Racing team from Australia has also been confirmed, as has Cecchine Racing from Italy.
More teams are expected to be confirmed before the season starts in 2026, with each team set to field a two-rider line-up.
A new series logo was also revealed by Harley, which it says is “an evolution of the brand’s iconic Bar & Shield visual language, blending Harley-Davidson heritage with a modern, global racing identity. The new visual identity was officially unveiled at the Harley-Davidson stand with the race-prepped Road Glide, purpose-built for competition by Harley-Davidson Factory Racing and featuring the official championship logo in its exclusive livery.”

While Harley-Davidson baggers are used for racing in MotoAmerica, the new World Cup will become the first global series dedicated to these machines. The bikes are expected to produce over 200hp, according to H-D, while also exceeding speeds of 186mph. The prototype race bike is that of a Road Glide, which was revealed at EICMA.
Speaking about the new series logo and first teams reveal, Kolja Rebstock, Senior Vice President for International Markets at Harley-Davidson Motor Company, said:
“We’re thrilled to welcome the first teams that have secured their spots in the inaugural season of the Harley-Davidson Bagger World Cup. Since the initial announcement of the series, we’ve seen tremendous interest from well-established and respected organizations. We’ve designed the series to feature between six and eight teams, for a total of 12 to 16 riders, and with these first three agreements, we’ve already filled almost half the grid.
“It’s a strong signal that confirms the momentum and excitement surrounding this project. We’re moving quickly to bring this championship to life and can’t wait to hit the track in 2026. It’s going to be loud, competitive, and unlike anything fans have ever seen before.”
