MOTORSPORT VISION (MSV) has released a statement regarding UK track days during the incoming second lockdown.

It confirms that all track days held at UK circuits controlled by MSV will be cancelled from Thursday the 5th November to Wednesday 2nd December inclusive.

For those that have booked onto track day events during this time, in line with MSV’s terms and conditions, a full credit covering the booking will be made to the MSVT account that made the booking. The credit will be valid for 12-months from the date of the cancelled event and can be redeemed against any listed MSVT event.

The cancellation of events will affect all of MSV’s circuits, meaning Brands Hatch, Donington Park, Oulton Park, Snetterton, Cadwell Park, and Bedford Aerodrome are now off-limits until further notice.

AS it stands, MSV is the only track day provider that has confirmed that events are to be cancelled until restrictions ease. We are guessing it will only be a matter of time before other track day providers and circuit owners confirm the same.

While track days are looking highly unlikely for the next month at least, the current incoming lockdown restrictions do not rule out riding motorcycles altogether. The government is urging people to make fewer journeys and only travel for essential reasons or to undertake exercise outdoors. It’s important to remember, riding a motorcycle has not been banned, but non-essential journeys – ie going for a ride along your favourite road for no other reason than fun – are.
