MOTORCYCLE DAREDEVIL Robbie Knievel has cancelled plans to jump 16 double decker buses at Battersea Power Station, Visordown can reveal.

In December last year, the son of stunt-riding legend Evel Knievel announced he would attempt to jump three more buses than his father's famous failed 1975 Wembley Stadium record attempt.

But with days to go to the planned 22nd May event, Battersea venue site managers, Industri Management, told Visordown: "it's not happening at Battersea."

Knievel was rumoured to be switching venues to Wembley Stadium, however, the venue's website has no mention of Knievel's jump on their upcoming list of events.

Robbie, 47, said at the time of his intention to jump 16 buses on a classic Harley-Davidson XR750: “Daredevils are a dying breed. I’m proud to have been raised by one and to be one myself. I’m looking forward to this and although my dad’s jump ended with broken bones and a lot of pain, I’m confident he’ll be smiling down on this one.”

We'll bet you a fiver he's not.
