Hells Angels challenge anti-bike gang law

HELLS ANGELS in Australia are to challenge moves to declare the biker club an illegal organisation.

The Club believes the law - the Crimes (Criminal Organisations Control) Act - is invalid because it "undermines the constitutional integrity of the Supreme Court".

Police stepped up their actions against the Angels following a fatal brawl at Sydney Airport in March last year.

The challenge has been lodged in the name of the club's former Sydney president, Derek Wainohu, in the High Court earlier this week.

Visordown gave you the nod earlier this month about intentions to declare the gang a criminal organisation; authorities are looking to put a halt to the Angels' alleged criminal activities.
