Family-run bike dealer closes after 50 years
James Sandiford goes into administration

A NORTH-WEST motorcycle dealer has closed down after more than 50 years in business.
Burnley-based James Sandiford Motorcycles was established in 1956 and went on to become one of the area's leading off-road motorcycle dealers. The business was spurred on by the off-road competition career of Jim Sandiford, the son of the shop's founder.
But last month administrators from the accountancy firm RSM Tenon were appointed to dispose of the assets of the business, which operated from 5,000 sq ft premises in the town.
Four staff have been made redundant.
