Andy McGladdery in fatal crash

Former TT racer dies in road traffic accident

ANDY McGladdery was involved in fatal crash yesterday morning when his Kawasaki ZX7 collided with a car near Darlington. The car driver and three passengers were unhurt in the incident.

A statement from Andy's wife and his sons, Nick and Dan, said that "He was the sort of man who would do anything for anyone, no favour was too big. He will be greatly missed by everyone."

A former British Superstock champion and TT racer, Andy retired from professional racing in 1990. He was a member of the North Yorkshire Road Racing Club and also wrote motorcycle sports reports for Middlesbrough's Evening Gazette.

Our thoughts are with Andy's family and friends.
