Fiat Crashes into Home and Wrecks a Yamaha Motorcycle
A Fiat driver has wrecked someone’s fence after crashing into the side of a house and a motorcycle

A Fiat driver on the Isle of Wight has bizarrely crashed into the side of a house owned by Tracey Paddon, resulting in the home owner’s garden fence being completely destroyed, as was a Yamaha R125.
The incident took place on Saturday, 3 May, when the Fiat 500, which also struck a concrete post, hit the motorcycle which belongs to Paddon’s upstairs neighbour and was used as his only means of travel.
Emergency services were called to Chapel Close in Gunville following the incident, with the damaged fence and motorcycle stuck underneath the car.
The home owner claims the car had been rocking back and forth before it suddenly reversed at speed and smashed through the fence as well as the side of her home.
The concrete posts that were hit by the four-wheeler were also ripped up and had been in place since the last war.
Paddon told the Isle of Wight County Press: “We were lucky it didn’t just all blow up! It took the brunt of everything – bike first, a 4ft concrete post, solid-wood wheelbarrow, cast-iron wheel, and a bench. If the bike hadn’t taken it all, I would have been dead.”
In one of the photos the Yamaha can be seen with significant damage across the front and side of the bike as the fairing was completely broken off, while the fuel tank also took a big hit.
A spokesperson from Hampshire and IW Constabulary added: “We were called at 7.10pm yesterday to reports of a Fiat 500 colliding with a garden wall on Chapel Close.
“The vehicle had also hit a motorcycle. The car was recovered, and no injuries were reported.”
