Ex-Ferrari F1 boss Ross Brawn joins Pramac Yamaha’s board of directors
Former F1 team boss Ross Brawn has joined the Pramac Yamaha MotoGP team as an advisor to Team Principal Paolo Campinoti.

Former Ferrari, Benetton, Brawn and Mercedes F1 team boss, Ross Brawn, is heading to MotoGP courtesy of a new role at Pramac Yamaha.
Brawn has officially joined the team’s board of directors, where he will act as strategic advisor to Team Principal Paolo Campinoti.
Brawn was at the helm of the Ferrari F1 team when Michael Schumacher won five consecutive titles from 2000 to 2004. During his motorsport career, Brawn has been part of 11 Constructors‘ Championship wins and 11 Drivers‘ Championships.

Speaking about his new role with the Pramac Yamaha MotoGP team, Brawn said:
“I‘m delighted to join the board of Pramac Racing Limited in a non-executive role. Motorsport has always been about people, teamwork and continuous improvement, and I look forward to supporting Paolo and the team and contributing where my experience may be useful. Pramac has built an impressive organisation with a strong spirit and ambition, and I‘m excited to be part of its future.”
Yamaha’s difficult run in MotoGP has once again continued so far in 2026, whether it’s the factory team that’s led by Fabio Quartararo, or the Pramac outfit which signed three-time WorldSBK champion Toprak Razgatlioglu for the 2026 campaign.

Appointing someone with Brawn’s motorsport background and experience, especially at this time, is particularly significant ahead of the new 850cc era in 2027. Brawn was no stranger to working as a team boss in F1 throughout multiple changes in regulations.
Campinoti also spoke about the hiring of Brawn, saying:
“I am very proud to welcome Ross to Pramac Racing. Beyond his extraordinary career and achievements in Formula 1, Ross is someone with whom I have shared a friendship and a relationship of great respect for many years. I believe that his vision, knowledge and winning mentality will make a valuable contribution to the continued growth and development of Pramac Racing.”
