Damon’s new Hypersport Race motorcycle remains a priority for the e-bike maker as the superbike is entering the next stage of development.

If you’ve been following Damon’s journey, then you might have seen our recent update on what is going on with the company. In short, Damon Inc., is seemingly treading on very muddy ground.

The company is facing lawsuits and angry investors, while its latest 10K filings revealed a team of just 13 employees. This comes on top of the brand still not having delivered a single bike into the hands of customers, despite bookings having been made previously.

But despite all this, Damon is continuing with the development of its new Hypersport Race motorcycle, which recently completed its full-scale clay modelling process. Since that update, Damon says it has now successfully completed its Engineering Concept Validation process.

Should it eventually arrive on the market, it would land as the brand’s third motorcycle behind the Hypersport and Hyperfighter.

Dominique Kwong, CEO of Damon, said:

"The transition from digital simulation to a physical prototype of HSR represents a critical step for Damon. It's the moment where our vision truly begins to take shape. The successful validation of our engineering concepts and the finalization of the clay model demonstrate that we are on track to deliver a vehicle that is not only technologically advanced but also attuned to the user's experience. We believe we are not just building a machine; we are crafting the future of mobility."

What ultimately happens with the Hypersport Race bike, and Damon Motors for that matter, remains to be seen, but it's clearly still intent on developing motorcycles.

In a press release, it goes on to say “the company is now focused on the assembly and integration of its Engineering Test Vehicle, which it currently expects to debut publicly in November. This event will offer the first comprehensive look at the vehicle's integrated systems and innovative performance capabilities.”
