BMW is marking the Nürburgring’s 100th anniversary with limited-edition versions of its M1000 RR, M1000 R and M1000 XR, with just 23 examples of the three bikes coming to the UK.

The ‘100 Jahre Nürburgring’ editions have been created to celebrate the German circuit’s centenary in 2027. The Nürburgring officially opened on June 18, 1927, and BMW Motorrad is producing 100 examples of each motorcycle worldwide.

All three bikes get the same core anniversary treatment, including a historical Nürburgring Green paint finish, anniversary decals, carbon wheels, black sub-frames and swingarms, and an Alcantara-look seat with ‘100’ embroidery.

There’s also a painted fuel tank featuring Nordschleife decoration, while the airbox cover carries a special anniversary design and ‘one of 100’ marking. The standard specification includes BMW’s M Track Package, while an M Cover Kit is supplied with the M1000 RR and M1000 R.

BMW is also throwing in an M motorcycle mat carrying the 100 Jahre (years) Nürburgring logo and a rear paddock stand.

The three bikes retain their distinct characters beneath the special paint and equipment.

The BMW M1000 RR is the most track-focused of the trio, using BMW’s M-developed superbike package with its focus on aerodynamics, lightweight construction and outright circuit performance.

The M1000 R takes the same basic high-performance approach in naked-bike form, while the M1000 XR combines the M1000 family’s performance with longer-distance capability and comfort.

The UK allocation is particularly small, with BMW Motorrad confirming just nine M1000 Rs will land in Britain, priced at £28,700 each.

There will be eight M1000 XRs, priced at £31,200, while just six M1000 RRs will be offered, costing £43,000 apiece.

That means only 23 of the Nürburgring anniversary motorcycles will be available in the UK, and with the market launch expected in June 2027, they’re aimed more at collectors than at riders looking for a particularly well-equipped M bike to use on road or track.

BMW says the anniversary models are intended to link its road-going M machinery with the Nürburgring, a track which the company has long used for development and testing.

The motorcycle launch forms part of a wider BMW M and BMW Motorrad anniversary programme. Six BMW M cars will also be offered as 100 Jahre Nürburgring editions, including the M2, M3 Sedan, M3 Touring, M4 Coupé, M5 Sedan and M5 Touring.
