Birthday race suit worn by Valentino Rossi to be auctioned
The only Soleluna Vale46 Anniversario race suit worn by Valentino Rossi on track is set to go under the hammer.

Dainese has donated a special race suit worn by Valentino Rossi to children’s charity UNICEF, with an auction set to follow.
The bit of kit is number one of just 46 that were made by the Italian company as part of the Soleluna VR46 Anniversario limited series, which was created to celebrate Rossi’s birthday in February 2025.
Also included in the special kit is an AGV Pista GP RR helmet, which is a lid that’s fully homologated for MotoGP racing and is currently used by several racers in the world championship.
The suit itself is Dainese’s Demone GP D-air 3x suit, and it is made of kangaroo leather, which again is part of the same equipment used by many Grand Prix stars.
The suit was worn by Rossi at Mugello, as was the AGV helmet, and all funds raised from the auction will be given to UNICEF's Road Safety for Children programme.

Discussing the initiative, Nicola Graziano, President of UNICEF Italy, said:
"On behalf of UNICEF Italy, I want to thank Dainese and Valentino Rossi for the great availability and sensitivity in favor of children shown with this solidarity initiative; The Road Safety for Children project aims to improve infrastructure in places frequented by children and promote their awareness and safe behaviour on the road worldwide. Safe mobility is not just a matter of transport, but it is an imperative of children's rights related to health, education, protection and participation."
Rossi will no doubt have a suit and helmet from the collection that’s likely been stored away in his secret museum, which is based somewhere in Italy and features many of his race bikes from over the years.
