Cardo Packtalk Pro Duo twin-pack announced
Cardo’s top-spec communicator is now available in a twin-pack, bringing crash detection, JBL audio and saving a few quid in the process.

Cardo Systems has added a new option to its range-topping Packtalk Pro, and this one’s aimed squarely at riders who don’t roll solo.
Until now, the firm’s flagship communicator has only been available as a single unit. That changes with the arrival of the Packtalk Pro Duo, a twin-pack version of the brand’s most tech-heavy lid-to-lid comms system. In simple terms, it’s two Pro units in one box, with a claimed saving of around eight per cent compared to buying a pair separately.
The headline feature remains the integrated crash detection system, and now that safety net extends to both riders straight out of the box. The system uses the unit’s internal sensors, the Cardo Connect app and the Cardo Cloud to flag a detected incident and alert an emergency contact. In a world where more riders are travelling further, and often in smaller groups, that extra layer of backup could prove important.

Audio is handled by 45mm speakers tuned by JBL, which come as standard. They’re big units by motorcycle intercom standards and are designed to deliver enough clarity and volume to cut through wind noise, whether you’re mid-podcast on the commute or blasting a playlist on a cross-continent haul.
There’s practical thinking elsewhere, too. An Auto On/Off function uses the integrated IMU to power the unit down when your helmet’s been stationary for a while, then wake it up when it senses movement again. It should mean less button pressing and less battery drain, and also means you should never ride off without the system being fired up.
Fitment comes via Cardo’s magnetic Air Mount system, meaning no tools and no faff. Once you’re in range, the brand’s Dynamic Mesh Communication (DMC) network handles the rest, automatically reconnecting riders without the usual Bluetooth juggling act. For couples who ride, regular pillions or riding mates who always double up, the Pro Duo makes a lot of sense.
Pricing for the UK isn’t confirmed on the press release, although EU buyers can pick one up for €864.95 (or around £750). More information can be found on the official website.
