Appleyard Motorcycles suffers ram-raid attack as several bikes stolen
Well-known British dealer Appleyard Motorcycles has lost several new bikes to a ram-raid attack.

Appleyard Motorcycles has fallen victim to a devastating bike theft attack, which took place in the early hours of Wednesday morning, on 11 March.
The well-known British dealership, which sells new and used motorcycles and scooters, has since shared CCTV footage of the attack on its social media.
There are two clips that have been shared by Appleyard Motorcycles, with the first of those showing a white car reversing into the dealership’s shutters. The car, which is then joined by a white van on the other side of the road, reverses into the shutters for a second time in an attempt to break the doors.
Thieves from the car and the van then begin lifting the shutters up before one member uses a chainsaw to try and cut through. The second clip, which shows CCTV footage from inside the dealership, shows just how much damage is being created by the chainsaw as sparks can be seen flying. The thieves then ripped the shutters open before breaking the glass doors.
Six thieves can be seen coming through the front doors, all of which leave with a motorcycle, although some of them are seen returning to pick up another bike. The CCTV camera from outside shows the robbers lifting the bikes into the white van, before leaving the scene.
According to Appleyard Motorcycles, the stolen bikes were all Husqvarna machines, including a new 2025 FC450, two 2026 TE250s, two 2026 TE125s, a 2025 TC85, two 2026 FE450s, one of which featured an Akrapovic exhaust system, and a used 2023 FE35.
Appleyard Motorcycles said this about the theft on its social media:
“Not a post we wanted to be sharing... Last night we were the victims of a Ram Raid, As you can see from the footage 8 New Husqvarna Enduro/Motocross bikes were taken along with a used bike.
“We would like to thank the Staff for helping to secure the building overnight and also work tirelessly to move all the off-road bikes off the premises, big thanks to the local businesses and tradesmen that dropped everything to help make the site secure."
The dealership goes on to say that “police are investigating and have taken finger and foot prints”.
