If a spot of snow sports is your thing then you will be very familiar with the name Uvex. They pretty much conquer the ski helmet and goggle market with a reputation for high quality anti fog lenses and cool frame designs. What you may not know is that have also been making motorcycle helmets for many years using their expertise to create cool looking helmets with big fighter pilot style visors.
Their 2011 range shows a distinct ‘gaming upping’ in terms of design and quality. This one has been sent to us for long term test and amongst other things we noticed the plastic components for changing the visor, fixing the peak and chin guard are really good quality. It has a ratchet strap fastener which is super easy to use and on top of that the lining is removable.
Uvex boast a totally mist proof visor that’s also highly scratch resistant. I’ve sat here for 20 minutes writing this review wearing it with the Visordown down (looking like a bit of a nonce) and it simply refuses to mist up!!!
Add to all this a 100% UV protection, Anti Allergenic lining, ACU Gold approval and the option to buy one in full on carbon fiber, we recon you get a lot of helmet for a starting price tag of £189.99
