Akrapovic have released this new exhaust for the 2013 BMW R1200GS and here's what they have to say about it:
This impressively detailed – and EC Type approved – race-styled titanium bodied muffler is considerably lighter than the stock item and increases performance and throttle response without the need for additional tuning. As with all Akrapovic products, durability and ease of fit of the new muffler are second to none and, of course, is accompanied with the deep, resonant exhaust tone that is the unmistakeable sound of Akrapovic.
The sound of Akrapovic in this case can be heard via dual-exit exhaust ports that are clearly visible from the rear and are neatly set within the confines of a heat resistant carbon fibre muffler end cap. The muffler outer shell and its solid-weld mounting bracket are made from selected titanium alloys and connected to a titanium 1-into-2 link pipe that carries an Akrapovic carbon composite heat shield.
