Detailed Product Information

The Touring Kit is a combination of the vSystem and the Magnum HCR (High Capacity Reservoir) which provides lubrication for 4000-8000 miles of riding between refills.

What does it do?

It lubricates your bike chain as you ride and due to the long distances you can go between refills is ideally suited to the long distance rider.  Due to its location at the back of the bike it can be installed pretty quickly, requiring no more than 2 hours in the worst case. To find out if this product is suitable for your bike check out the bike specific install guides.

What's in the box?

The Touring Kit comes complete with a High Capacity Reservoir (HCR) which mounts behind the number plate and carries a Reservoir Metering Valve (RMV) alongside it.  All the parts required to fit to your bike including dispenser assembly and vacuum connection are included along with a bottle of oil sufficient to fill both reservoirs. (NB. The HCR is not suitable for Australia and the US as the number plates are too small).

How does it work?

It works by the same method as the Scottoiler vSystem, requiring a vacuum to open the main valve to allow the oil to feed to your chain.

Once the RMV starts doing its work, the oil in the HCR simply siphons across and continues to supply the main reservoir through the breather tube.

How far can I go between refills?

The Touring Kit can go anywhere between 4,000 – 8,000 miles between refills depending on the flow rate of the system.

What oil does it take?

The Touring Kit can use both Scottoil original or high temperature depending on the climate or conditions you’re planning on riding in.
