Yamaha to revive “iconic” livery at BSB race in July
Yamaha is set to revive a “legendary” livery at round five of the 2026 BSB season.

Yamaha will bring back an iconic livery at round five of the 2026 BSB campaign, with a series of social media polls set to allow fans to vote for their preferred option.
Yamaha is planning to reveal the special livery as a celebration of 30 years of BSB, and it will do so by applying the livery to Bradley Ray’s 2026 McAMS Yamaha R1. Ray will use the revived paint scheme for each race that takes place at Brands Hatch in July.
Yamaha’s racing achievements need little introduction, especially in BSB, as the Japanese manufacturer has won a total of ten titles since 1996.
Niall Mackenzie is responsible for three of those title wins, therefore it would not be a surprise if Yamaha revived one of his famous liveries.
Leon Camier, Tommy Hill, Josh Brookes, Tarran Mackenzie, Bradley Ray, and Kyle Ryde are the other riders who have all won titles with Yamaha during that time. Ryde is the most recent champion with Yamaha, winning the BSB title in 2024 and 2025.

As mentioned above, Yamaha will run a series of polls on its social media channels over the next few weeks, before ultimately deciding on which iconic livery to resurrect.
Multiple race and championship winning names will also appear on Yamaha Racing UK’s social media platforms over the coming weeks, and they will be part of exclusive interviews that reflect on Yamaha’s success in racing.
Additionally, round five of the season at Brands Hatch, which takes place on July 18-19, will see Yamaha conduct a parade lap where current model owners take to the grand prix circuit, alongside a host of familiar Yamaha bikes and faces that have played a major role in the past 30 years of BSB racing.
The opening round of the 2026 BSB campaign gets underway at Oulton Park on May 2-4. The series will then head to Donington Park, Knockhill, and Snetterton, before Brands Hatch takes centre stage.
