Weise reveals Rio trousers for women riders
UK-based Weise rolls out a new pair of textile trousers aimed specifically at women who ride.
One of my wife’s pet hates is the amount of sub-par moto gear that’s aimed at women without actually being for women.
If you are a woman rider, or know one, you’ll be familiar with that criticism. Simply putting ‘girly’ designs on stuff doesn’t make it appropriate or acceptable.
Fortunately, some brands are actually listening to actual women who actually ride. One of those brands is Weise. The Bristol-based company says its new Rio Women’s Textile Trousers “have been developed using extensive feedback from women riders.”
Waterproof and windproof, yet breathable, the Rio trousers are made from 600 Denier textile fabric and boast an AA safety rating. They come equipped with CE-approved armour at the hip and knee, and feature a removable thermal lining - giving multi-season versatility.
The Rio trousers are “tailored to fit the female body shape and feature stretch panels at the knees, hips, waist and inner thighs,” explains Weise.
Available in sizes 8-22 in regular and short leg lengths, the trousers have a number of features, including:
- Two concealed waist pockets with zipped closures
- Lower leg expander zips, making it easier to pull the trousers on and off over riding boots.
- Adjustable waist with belt closure for a secure fit
- Connecting zip for attaching to Weise riding jackets
The trousers retail at £149.99 and are available in shops now.
