In 2026 Vespa will celebrate its 80th birthday, and in doing so a special parade will see many of its scooters descend on the Goodwood Revival.

However, the celebration will have a couple of important themes to be aware of. The first of those is in regards to what type of models we will see, as every scooter that takes to the iconic Goodwood Motor Circuit will be a pre-1966 model.

Of the 300-plus scooters that are set to swarm the Goodwood Revival, the majority will be Vespas. But there will also be various Lambretta, Italjet and Iso scooters getting in on the fun in what will be a direct celebration of the ‘La Dolce Vita’ (the good life) theme.

The 2026 Goodwood Revival takes place from September 18-20, with models from the 1940s, ’50s and ’60s all also expected to feature heavily.

Every year the Goodwood Revival begins with a track parade, and in 2025, it brought together one of the largest and most varied groups of Volkswagen Type 2 Split Screens. On that occasion there were fire engines, ambulances, transporters, and even ice cream vans displayed.

But Vespa will take centre stage this time around, with its La Dolce Vita theme to be celebrated at The Turning Circle by the Gate 2 entrance.

Vespa served as a symbol of positivity for many following the tragic World War II from 1939 to 1945. And by the mid-1960s the brand’s mod subculture started to become more popular in the UK.

Next year’s Vespa track parade will join a full schedule of 15 races, where 100 per cent sustainable fuel will be used throughout.

Early bird tickets are already available and you can book your place at the event by heading over to the official Goodwood website. That’s where you will also find tickets for the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
