The Crawley site was previously home to multi-franchise P&H Motorcycles and will now become the sixth Superbike Factory dealer, following additional expansion in both Milton Keynes and Bristol, recently.

The used bike specialists will take over the showroom which has been selling motorcycles since 1980, with P&H Motorcycles being home to brands such as KTM, Kawasaki and Yamaha.

In July 2023, Superbike Factory became a main dealership for British company Norton Motorcycles, who are now owned by Indian firm TVS. Alongside motorcycles, P&H sold riding kits, accessories, and had ties to rider training.

Highlighted by its mass-used bike presence, it’s believed the facility in Crawley will accommodate 400 used motorcycles alongside various accessories and Mot services.

The closing of P&H Motorcycles is not the only known UK dealer to shut down in recent months, as Colchester Kawasaki also suffered the same fate. The Colchester Kawasaki site is listed for sale at £2.5 million.

Superbike Factory also has showrooms in Cheshire, Bradford and Donington Park, and speaking about the new site, Superbike Factory CEO, Edward Armitage, said: “This new showroom in Crawley will enable us to better serve riders across Sussex and nearby areas.

“Its prime location, with excellent transport links, will help us reach new customers between London and Brighton and meet the demand we’ve been experiencing in the South.”

Furthermore to the closing of P&H Motorcycles and Colchester Kawasaki, 2024 has been a difficult year for UK dealers, generally, as Completely Motorcycles, who bolstered 10 dealerships across the UK, suffered a sizable collapse.

Other notable dealers to close include Streetbike in Halesowen and Saltire Motorcycle of Edinburgh.
