Tech3 KTM completes 2027 MotoGP line-up with Senna Agius

KTM’s 2027 MotoGP line-up is now finalised, with Moto2 race winner Senna Agius set to partner Luca Marini at Tech3.

After confirming the arrival of Luca Marini ahead of the Aragon MotoGP, Guenther Steiner’s Tech3 team has now revealed its second rider for the new 850cc era in 2027.

Replacing Maverick Vinales will be Australian rider Senna Agius, who is currently fourth in the Moto2 world championship.

A two-time Moto2 race winner in 2025, Agius has cemented himself as one of the intermediate class’ best riders in 2026.

However, team-mate Manual Gonzalez currently leads the world championship and looks to be the heavy favourite to win the title.

Despite Gonzalez being the most consistent rider in 2026, the Spaniard was overlooked in favour of Agius for the final KTM seat.

KTM also becomes the last manufacturer to confirm its full contingent of riders for 2027, after Alex Marquez and Fabio di Giannantonio were confirmed as factory Red Bull KTM riders earlier this year.

Speaking after his MotoGP deal was announced, Agius said:

“Today, a lifelong dream of mine has come true: reaching MotoGP. So many years of hard work have gone into this moment, and I'm incredibly grateful to Guenther and everyone at Tech3 for believing in me and giving me this opportunity. I can't wait to repay their faith. I know the challenge ahead, but I'm ready to learn, work hard, and become the best version of myself with this team.
“A huge thank you to my family, friends, and everyone who has supported me and made sacrifices throughout my journey. I'd also like to thank every team, engineer, and mechanic I've worked with over the years - they've all played a part in helping me reach this point. I can't wait to get started and make everyone proud.”

While all 22 MotoGP riders have been confirmed for 2027, the only piece of the puzzle that has not been confirmed is which Honda teams Diogo Moreira and David Alonso will ride for.

That being said, the expectation is that Moreira will move across to the official HRC team, with Alonso taking his place at LCR.
