Suzuki has confirmed pricing for its new SV-7GX crossover, with the entry-level version set to arrive in UK dealerships this summer, carrying a £6,999 OTR price tag.

First shown at last year’s EICMA show in Milan, the SV-7GX effectively gives Suzuki’s long-serving middleweight V-twin platform a second wind, combining updated electronics and sharper styling with one of the firm’s most recognisable engines.

At the heart of the bike sits Suzuki’s updated Euro5+ compliant V-twin motor, which gains revisions including a new magneto, revised transmission gears, a ride-by-wire throttle system and a fresh exhaust setup. Despite the updates, Suzuki says the engine retains the same punchy and characterful delivery that helped make the old SV650 such a long-running success.

The addition of ride-by-wire technology also allows Suzuki to fit a more modern electronics package as standard. That includes a bi-directional quickshifter, three traction control modes and three selectable power modes, with everything displayed through a colour TFT dash featuring smartphone connectivity.

Styling takes inspiration from the firm’s flagship Suzuki GSX-S1000GX+, with the SV-7GX adopting a crossover-style look aimed squarely at riders wanting upright comfort with sporty road manners.

A plain white version will be available at the headline £6,999 OTR figure, while metallic blue, greige and black versions — complete with additional graphics and colour-matched wheels — will cost £7,399 OTR.
