Steve Parrish and Charley Boorman star at Bike Bonanza at Shelsley Walsh
Bike Bonanza returns to Shelsley Walsh on 4 July 2026, bringing hill climb action, classic machines, custom builds and live demonstrations back to the historic venue.

Bike Bonanza is set to return to Shelsley Walsh Hill Climb on Saturday 4 July 2026, bringing a mix of hill climb action, classic machinery, custom bikes and live demonstrations back to one of the UK’s oldest motorsport venues.
The one-day event centres around the hill itself, with more than 100 entries expected to take on the famous hill climb. The field will range from classic motorcycles through to modern superbikes, with timed runs and end-of-day run-offs used to decide the fastest riders of the day.

Unlike a static show, this is built around bikes being used, with machines of all eras getting fired up and run throughout the day. The event gives visitors a chance to see and hear a wide range of motorcycles in action rather than behind barriers.

Among the guest riders is TV presenter and adventurer Charley Boorman, who will make his Shelsley debut riding the 1973 BMW R75/5 featured in his recent travels with Ewan McGregor. Also returning is long-time event ambassador Steve Parrish, who will lead a charity ride-in in support of Midlands Air Ambulance, starting from M5 Strensham Services before riding to the venue and taking on a parade run up the hill.

The on-site displays will focus on racing heritage, with highlights including the Suzuki GSX-R1000 once raced by TT legend David Jefferies, Cal Crutchlow’s Honda CBR600RR from his Northpoint Racing days, and a Mike West Racing collection featuring machines linked to James Toseland – along with the well-known Old Spice Ducati 916 British Superbike.
A major feature for 2026 is a dedicated Triumph display curated by collector Dick Shepherd. The collection includes bikes with on-screen history, such as the Scrambler 1200 from No Time To Die, the Street Triple 765 from The Hitman’s Bodyguard and a Scrambler featured in Jurassic World. Alongside those is the 1966 Daytona-winning Triumph T100 ridden by Buddy Elmore. Selected machines from the collection will be started and run during the day.

New for this year, the event also brings in a selection of custom machines from the Kickback show, adding a more modern custom and build-focused element to the lineup. Alongside that, Karting Legends will be on site with a collection of historic racing karts from the 1960s through to the 1990s, with static displays and live demonstrations in a dedicated area.
Off the hill, the event will include club displays, live music, guest talks and the usual mix of food and traders, with an emphasis on keeping the atmosphere informal and accessible across the day.
Entries are also open for riders who want to take part in the hill climb itself, with organisers inviting both experienced competitors and newcomers to run the course.
