Schuberth reveals C5 noise cancelling helmet
Schuberth has revealed a new C5 modular noise cancelling helmet that's been developed with the help of Cardo.

“Control the noise, amplify the ride”. That’s what Schuberth says its new modular C5 motorcycle helmet will do thanks to its Cardo-developed Active Noise Cancellation system.
Just last month Cardo revealed its first-ever fully integrated helmets: the BEYOND GTS and BEYOND GT. The former comes standard with the Active Noise Cancellation system, however, you will need to pay a bit extra to have it fitted to the GT lid.
Both of the Cardo helmets feature 53mm speakers, and that’s also the case with Schuberth’s C5 flip-up helmet, which is homologated to P/J and ECE 22.06 safety standards.

The C5, which is available in three colour options (Matt Black, Glossy White and Concrete Grey), uses proprietary calibration tuning that “specifically targets wind and turbulence noise that causes rider fatigues and potential long term hearing damage”, according to Schuberth.
The system is integrated through the SC Edge ANC unit, which features second generation DMC Mesh, Bluetooth 5.2, Natural Voice operation, over-the-air software updates, and a range up to 1.6km (around one mile).
With safety in mind, the helmet gets a DFP Fibre Glass shell that’s been reinforced with carbon fibre for improved shock absorption and lighter weight.

The C5 ANC is no different to the rest of Schuberth’s motorcycle helmet range, as it benefits from the same Anti-Roll-Off-System. The function is connected with a chin strap “in a new advanced position for improved comfort on the throat area”, says the head protection brand.
The new C5 ANC also provides riders with the option of personalising the fit of their lid via the Schuberth Individual Program, which allows customisation of the internal padding with the option of more thickness on the sides, back and cheek pads.
