Kawasaki reveals all-new Stockman dirt bike

As far as new models go to kick-start 2026, this rugged-looking Kawasaki Stockman is not quite what we had envisioned from the Japanese company.

The new bike has been designed specifically for farmers, ranchers, and the like, but it is only available, sadly for us, in Australia and New Zealand. 

Sitting underneath its compact bodywork is a 233cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine that produces 14kW (18.7 bhp) at 7,600rpm and 14.7 Ib-ft of torque at 6,100rpm. The fuel-injected engine is also mated to a six-speed manual gearbox.

Despite its rugged, no-nonsense exterior, the Stockman does come with some pretty interesting features. One of those is the clutch lever locking mechanism, which allows the rider to hold the bike in gear without squeezing the lever. 

The new bike also gets lever guards that are made of aluminium, which make for a nice addition in the event of riding through areas with fences or overhanging branches. A rear rack is also included as standard, as are protectors around the engine.

Conventional 37mm telescopic forks are found up front, while the suspension setup is complete with a monoshock that’s adjustable for spring preload at the rear. 

The bike gets 21-inch front and 18-inch wheels, while braking is handled by disc brakes both front and rear. Front wheel travel comes in at 158mm, while the rear is ever so slightly longer, at 168mm.

Meanwhile, the Stockman has an estimated dry weight of 130kg, a seat height of 845mm, and ground clearance that’s set at a modest 220mm. The tank is capable of holding up to 7.5 litres of fuel.
