He might have raced in 250 Grand Prix, WorldSBK and EWC, but the Isle of Man TT could be this racer's biggest challenge yet!

FRENCH motorcycle racer Matthieu Lagrive is set to take on the 2023 Isle of Man TT races, as the short circuit specialist and endurance racer joins the entry list.

Lagrive is a four-time FIM World Endurance Champion, who has also competed in 250 Grand Prix, World Supersport, and World Superbike. He’s taken wins at some of the biggest endurance motorcycle races on the planet including the Bol d’Or and 24 Hours of Le Mans, but 2023 will present a whole new challenge for the experienced rider.

His first visit to the Isle of Man it might be, but Lagrive is an experienced rider in European road races, having contested (and won) at circuits across the International Road Racing Championship. He’s busy prepping for the event already, having now visited the course, he’s preparing for his first trip to the NW200, running his roads campaign alongside his FIM World Endurance obligations.

Speaking about his entry into the event, Lagrive said:

“This weekend is my first time on the Isle of Man, to take a look [at the TT Course] and wow, what a place. So many things to remember with the corners and the markers like the houses and the posts and the bumps.”

“I won the [IRRC] Supersport Championship in 2018 and 2019, and that’s where I started thinking about coming to the TT. I have no targets and it will take me some years to see how quick I can go.”
