The 2023 Isle of Man TT Supersport start list has been published for this year's races, with David Johnson set to lead the field away.

With less than two months to go until the 2023 Isle of Man TT kicks off, the excitement ahead of the second post-Covid event is continuing to build.

Now, following the announcement of the first 20 starters for the Superbike-class races at the 2023 Isle of Man TT, the top 20 start list for the Supersport races has now also been published.

As in Superbike list, David Johnson opens the road for the middleweight class, and once again for Jackson Honda

Continuing the continuity from Superbike, Dean Harrison sets off in the second position on the Russell Racing Yamaha. Harrison will be the team’s lone rider on the Isle of Man, but will have Richard Cooper as a teammate at the North West 200.

On the #3 machine for the 2023 Supersport TT races will be Paul Jordan on the PreZ Racing Yamaha, before a third consecutive R6 - that of KTS Racing’s Jamie Coward - will set off in fourth place.

Fifth away will be James Hillier, although according to the official entry list his team and machinery are as yet unconfirmed. In the Superbike class, Hillier will race for the OMG Racing Yamaha team.

Michael Dunlop will set off from his customary sixth position on the MD Racing Yamaha, and by now it is clear which is the bike of choice for the 2023 Supersport TT races.

The first-and-only Suzuki GSX-R600 in the top 20 will start from seventh position, in the hands of two-time TT winner Gary Johnson, ahead of the first Padgett’s Honda in eighth place, which will be in the hands of Davey Todd.

The Ashcourt Racing Yamaha of Lee Johnston will set off in ninth, while Peter Hickman will round out the first 10 starters - just as in the Superbike class - on the K2 Trooper Triumph by PHR machine.

Three places behind his Padgett’s Honda teammate, Conor Cummins will set off in 11th, ahead of John McGuinness on the SMT Racing Honda. Dominic Herbertson on the F.W.Cowton Kawasaki will be 13th.

James Hind’s Bass Tyre Services Yamaha will wear the #14, ahead of Rob Hodson on the #15 SMT/VRS Recovery Yamaha.

The 16th position will see the RK Racing Yamaha of Mike Browne, before Michael Sweeney on the EM Building Yamaha. The Team Kibosh Yamaha of Shaun Anderson will be 18th away, ahead of Michael Evans on the AGR Motorsport, and rounding out the top 20 is the Bathams Racing Triumph of Craig Neve.
