Paul Bird to run own CRT chassis in 2013
PBM to field two-man effort in a bid to become the top CRT team next season

AT the British Grand Prix Paul Bird revealed that his team will contest the CRT class with its own chassis next season.
Speaking to MotoGP.com at Silverstone, the PBM team owner said that the team will have its own chassis ready by the end of the year and he hopes to field a two-man effort for the 2013 season, with the goal for becoming the top CRT outfit - competing with the likes of the Aspar team who currently lead the category.
This season saw PBM opt for the popular Aprilia ART machine, but James Ellison has had difficulties with the production-based prototype, experiencing electronic chatter. Despite this he showed potential in the wet at Le Mans, topping the CRT riders with an 11th place finish.
Paul Bird has not stated who will ride for the team but remained certain that it will remain 'all British - red, white and blue." After Shane Byrne's test of the ART machine alongside Ellison at Catalunya, speculation may place the British Superbike champion drafted in from PBM's domestic team to the CRT squad.
