WE’RE HUGE fans of Pete Hickman here at Visordown Towers. The BSB and road racing ace was the star of the 2018 TT, winning the Superstock and Senior races, as well as setting a new lap record of 135.452 mph. Erk. And he’s a really top bloke too.
So we’re loving this new Hicky replica Shoei X-Spirit III. Launched at the TT, the special paint scheme features three of his sponsors – Shoei, Trooper Beer, and top metal behemoth Iron Maiden. Limited to 666 (of course!) helmets, the replica is based around Shoei’s top-spec race helmet, the X-Spirit III. This latest incarnation of the X-Spirit features a super-advanced AIM+ organic fibre multi-composite shell, with sophisticated vent and aerodynamics package, quick-release 2D visor, double-D ring fastening and Shoei’s emergency quick-release system. It’s a genuinely impressive high-performance helmet and perfect for track, race and road use.
And Shoei has put together a really sweet presentation package that goes with the helmet. The limited-edition lid comes in a supersized box, with the helmet safely in the bottom, and a care package of top-spec Hicky goodies on top.
