Ixon has introduced its latest track-focused motorcycle glove: the GP4 Air.

The French manufacturer, Ixon, has increased its presence in top level competition in the last couple of years. It protects Grand Prix racers like Sam Lowes and Takaaki Nakagami, as well as WorldSBK’s Scott Redding, and its latest GP4 Air track glove is surely a product of the work done in the World Championships.

Featuring goat leather on the back and palm, as well as the latest generation Pittards leather on the palm, and reinforced with carbon, the GP4 Air is a motorcycle glove designed with summer track riding in mind.

As a result of this, getting caught under a cloud burst is going to result with some wrinkled fingers, since ventilation to combat the summer heat was prioritised over waterproofing. Featuring perforations in the leather, the GP4 Air’s purpose is to keep your hands nice and cool, so you can continue to enjoy your ride even in the hottest conditions.

The glove also features a carbon knuckle shell, a racing-derived slider, reinforcements in the palm and edge, and protection against back-bending in the third and fourth fingers. Furthermore, the Ixon logo on the lengthened cuff - where there is also a double-fastening system which works in combination with the wrist strap - is reinforced.

On the ergonomics side, the gloves are touchscreen compatible on the index finger.

The gloves feature flex leather on the knuckles, reverse seams, and a gusset below the knuckle shell to maximise comfort.

Available in sizes XS to 3XL, and available in the colours “Black”, “Black & White”, and “Red, Black & White,” the GP4 Air will retail for €169.99, or around £145.
