WUNDERLICH has launched a 21-inch wheel conversion kit for BMW’s R NineT Urban G/S and Scrambler models.
The German accessory company announced the kit today, promising to take R NineT owners off the beaten track and into a world of adventure.
The kit upgrades the current 19-inch front wheel to a 21-inch unit, which features a black anodised hub and aluminium cross-spokes wheel – perfectly matching the OEM rear wheel – that allows the use of tubeless 90/90-21“ tyres.
This larger wheel promises to improve stability on sand, mud and gravel, with the added benefit of ironing out bumps on poor quality tarmac roads. At the same time, the front wheel upgrade gives the R NineT models a distinctive enduro appearance.
Comprising the larger wheel, a specially developed ABS rim, a short, brushed aluminium front mudguard and an installation kit, the 21“ front wheel conversion costs €1,359.
However, for the kit to be compatible, Urban G/S and Scrambler owners will need to raise their suspension by 50mm, for which Wunderlich provide a kit, costing €2,049. Both are covered by Wunderlich’s five-year guarantee.
