Oxford rolls out waterproof bags for luggage

Oxford Products offers up an affordable and simple way to keep your stuff dry on the road.

Oxford Products has just introduced a series of waterproof dry bags to help keep your stuff organised and dry on adventures.

Ostensibly, the new Nomad dry bags - available in 9-litre, 4-litre, 2-litre, and 1-litre sizes - are designed to work with the company’s Nomad range of modular lightweight luggage. The system is very similar to, but markedly less expensive than, Kriega’s OS-BASE luggage system.

Both are targeted at riders of dual sport machines - like, say, the Kove 450 Rally - that don’t have convenient pannier mounts. But, of course, the system can be used on just about any bike.

What’s useful about these Nomad liners, though, is not just that they’re compatible with Oxford’s Nomad luggage system but also, you know, pretty much any luggage system. Got a backpack that isn’t waterproof? Now it is, thanks to these affordable liners.

Made from waterproof and wipe-clean 210D polyester, the bags feature internal taped seam construction, with roll-top buckle closure.

Priced at £12.99 for a 9-litre back, £10.99 for a 4-litre bag, £7.99 for the 2-litre bag, and £6.99 for the 1-litre bag, I’ll probably get a few of these for a wholly different purpose: keeping my stuff organised and dry when I’m backpacking. Having dry pants on the West Highland Way is priceless.

The Nomad bags are available from Oxford sellers now.
