Start them young with Ducati ride-on electric motorcycles
Ducati has teamed up with Peg Perego to create a range of electric children’s ride-on Ducati toys.

It’s fair to say that the passion for two wheels and an engine is generally passed down to children at a very young age. Be it a father, mother, older sibling or cousin, for many riders, that initial spark that ignited their passion came from another family member.
What can really help that passion to grow is to buy them their own bike, and what better bike to have at that age than a bright red Ducati?

To help make this a reality, Ducati has teamed up with the Italian toy maker Peg Perego, to create a range of ride-on toys for children that are loosely based on the Italian brand’s varied model range.

There is a six-volt trike at €119 (£103) and a larger one, aimed at riders over two years old, that comes in at €179 (£159). For those looking for a slightly more accurate-looking steed, the two brands have also brought out a pair of two-wheelers that can seemingly be ridden with or without stabilisers.

The first is a bike styled to look like a Multistrada, complete with a red ‘trellis’ frame, beaked front mudguard and even functional panniers. Next up from that we have a racy little Desmosedici look-a-like, complete with sporty fairing, sponsorship stickers and decals, and a ‘roaring engine’ effect from the onboard sound system. Those two bikes come in at a slightly more punchy €489 (around £424).
Sadly, for any UK-based Ducati fans, the bikes only seem to be available in mainland Europe, but you can at least check them out in more detail on the official website.
