2026 KTM 990 RC R Cup is nearly full
KTM has confirmed more than 50 per cent of its spots in the new 2026 KTM 990 RC R Cup have been filled.

Time is running out to book your place in the brand-new KTM 990 RC R Cup, with more than 50 per cent of the spots already filled.
The new one-make series is set to be held across six European rounds, starting in Almeria, Spain, on 23-26 April, 2026.
The series then heads to Brno in the Czech Republic on 22-24 May, before the famous Hockenheim circuit in Germany plays host to round three from the 26 to the 28 June. Misano (Italy) is the fourth venue on the schedule on 7-9 August, followed by the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg, Austria (21-23 August). The new 990 RC R Cup will end at the Autodrom Most in the Czech Republic, on 4-6 September.
The new series is by no means a pathway to becoming the next Pedro Acosta or Brad Binder in MotoGP, but it does offer riders a bridge between track days and full-blown competition.

However, to be eligible for the new 990 RC R Cup you will either need to own KTM’s new street-legal KTM 990 RC R or the KTM 990 RC R Track model. Whichever model you choose, it must be bought through an authorised KTM dealer.
What KTM is also offering to riders is the chance to gain factory support throughout the six-round campaign. Professional KTM riders will be on hand at each event to provide coaching, while technical support will also be provided.
For full-season entrants, KTM says riders will “benefit from prioritised allocation of the KTM 990 RC R TRACK model”, while a WP PRO Components race-upgrade kit will be available, too.

To take part as a full-season entrant, you will need to pay €8,890, which converts to around £7,800. Additionally, technical service - including transport and maintenance preparations - is priced at €4,890 (around £4,300), according to BG Sportpromotion GmbH. While that is still a chunk of change for a season of riding around in circles, it’s not a huge amount to take part in a factory-backed racing series at some of Europe's best race tracks.
Full-season bookings end on 14 February, while single-event entrants can book a slot after that date. For more information, including how to book the full series, head over to the official KTM website.
