Back in Team Green’s super naked line-up since October 2025, Kawasaki’s new Z1100 can now be made even more powerful thanks to three Euro5+ approved exhaust systems from SC-Project.

The first option is the CR-T muffler, which offers a performance upgrade of +1.1hp (+1bhp) at 8,500rpm, according to SC-Project. It will also give riders +0.4 Ib-ft of torque at 7,200rpm.

Those performance gains aren’t huge, by any means, but they are coupled with the exhaust being over 80 per cent lighter than the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) system, says SC-Project.

The second option, which is the most powerful of the three, is the SC1-R exhaust. This will give riders an increase of +1.9hp (+1.8bhp) at 8,800rpm and +0.6 Ib-ft of torque at 7,400rpm.

This system is over 60 per cent lighter than the stock version, and like the above-mentioned CR-T muffler, its outer sleeve is available in either carbon-fibre or titanium.

Finally, there is the S1 muffler which offers the same +1bhp at 8,500rpm and +0.4 Ib-ft of torque at 7,200rpm, as the CR-T. The S1 is over 75 per cent lighter than the OEM system, however, unlike the other two options it is not available with a carbon-fibre sleeve. Instead, SC-Project says riders can choose between Titanium or Matt Black.

The Kawasaki Z1100 comes in two flavours which are standard and SE. Without these SC-Project exhausts, meaning in stock form straight from dealerships, they both produce a maximum power output of 134bhp, which arrives at 9,000rpm.

As part of its return to the Kawasaki line-up, the Z1100 gets new pistons, valve springs, and cams, as well as revised cogs in the six-speed slip/assist-equipped gearbox. Electronically, cruise control and a quickshifter are now standard. Lean-sensitive ABS and traction control are also fitted as standard.

Topping off the Z1100’s electronic repertoire is a five-inch full-colour TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity.

You can find out more about each exhaust system on the official SC-Project website
