Royal Enfield has announced a refresh of its established 650cc twin-cylinder range, with new colours coming for the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650.
Having announced the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 in EICMA last year, Royal Enfield has confirmed its commitment to what has become a successful platform in that of its 650cc twin-cylinder.
Before the Super Meteor 650, there was the Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 and the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650, both of which gain new paint jobs for 2023.
For the Interceptor 650 - which maintains its existing colour options of Mark 2, Sunset Strip and Canyon Red - there are the new, ‘blacked out’ colours, as Enfield is referring to them: Black Ray, and Barcelona Blue.
On the side of the Continental GT 650, the existing colours - Mr Clean, Dux Dulux, British Racing Green and Rocker Red - are joined for 2023 by Slipstream Blue and Apex Grey.
In addition to the new colours themselves, each of the new-for-2023 paint options for both the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 and Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 come with a new switchgear, a USB charging point, and LED headlamp, and “enhanced seat comfort,” Royal Enfield says.
Further, the ‘blacked out’ variants of the Interceptor and Continental GT - that is to say, those with the new colours - will also have ‘blacked out’ engine and exhaust components, as well as cast alloy wheels and tubeless tyres as standard.

The Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 in its new ‘blacked out’ colours is priced at £6,799, and, for the ‘blacked out’ Royal Enfield Interceptor 650, the price is £6,599.
