New limited edition Indian FTR x 100% R Carbon announced

Indian has teamed up with motocross and apparel brand 100% to create the new, limited edition FTR x 100% R Carbon.

FTR R Carbon x 100%

America’s oldest motorcycle manufacturer has teamed up with motocross brand 100% for a new model, as the Indian Motorcycle FTR x 100% R Carbon breaks cover at the EICMA show in Milan.

Built around the stock FTR R Carbon, the bike features a one-of-a-kind Blue Candy carbon fibre tank, headlight nacelle, seat cowl and front fender, with a special white powder-coated frame helping to highlight the new bodywork. The new bodywork features Indian and 100% co-branding on each side of the tank, the pillion seat cowl, and the chin fairing. Further changes come in the form of blacked-out Ohlins suspension components, complete with sexy gold stanchions, and black finished end cans on the titanium Akrapovic exhaust system.

The bike also features a smattering of new carbon parts, including the engine covers, chain guard and exhaust heat shield, while Gilles Tooling parts add mire trinkets with special bar-end weights, an oil cap and radiator cap.

Beneath the skin the engine of the new bike is the same spec as the stock FTR R Carbon, meaning you get 121 bhp and 87lb-ft of torque from the liquid-cooled V-twin engine. You also still get radially-mounted Brembo four-piston calipers at the front, a touchscreen TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation, and three selectable ride modes, Rain, Standard and Sport. It is fair to say then that what you are buying here is a slightly more distinctive, much more exclusive version of the FTR R Carbon.

The bike is, as you’d expect, a very limited edition model, with just 400 being produced in total, and of those just 250 earmarked for sale outside of the USA. Globally that means less than one bike per dealer worldwide, so if you are looking to add one to your garage next year, you better speak to your nearest dealer!
